First Look At Timbaland's New TV Show "Boy Band"

Boy Band premieres 22 June, and the show continues to cast big names in the music industry. In May, Emma Bunton (Spice Girls) and Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) signed on as “architects” to judge/mentor Boy Band participants, and now Timbaland is joining their ranks.

During Boy Band, hosted by Rita Ora, thousands of performers compete for the chance to win a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Initially, they strive for placement in just 18 spots available among three bands. As the series continues, participants are eliminated through fan-based voting, while those who remain rotate places in the different bands. Eventually, five winners will be chosen to form a band.

Timbaland Joins ABC's New TV Show "Boy Band"

according to Variety Timbaland has joined the judging panel behind a new U.S. talent show to find the next big boy band, He has signed on for the singing competition, alongside previously announced “architects”, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter and Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton, who will select the singers who will make up a new group on Boy Band. 

“I’m excited to be a part of this show and come on as an architect to help guide the next generation of undiscovered talent,” Timbaland says in a statement. “I want to continue giving back to music as I have been. I’m ready to find the next boy band that could change our business.”

 The new show, which premieres on 22 June (17), will be hosted by Rita Ora.

Timbaland On New Visual Album For World Cup 2014

Pepsi is pairing singers and filmmakers to release a visual album 
that celebrates soccer during World Cup

Spike Lee, Timbaland, Idris Elba and Kelly Rowland are some of the artists whose work is featured on the Pepsi-curated album, “Beats of the Beautiful Game,” to be released June 10. The soda company announced Monday its album will be a collection of 11 anthem-like songs and short films  

Each week, Pepsi MAX will premiere songs off the album

 as singles on the iTunes store
